MARYBOROUGH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BREAKFAST TO BE HELD 8TH FEB 2011 @ THE BROLGA THEATRE

February 4th, 2011

Good morning,

The Maryborough Chamber of Commerce will hold its first breakfast meeting for 2011 at the Brolga Theatre on Tuesday 8th February, 2011.

Our focus will be on sharing information applicable to the “23rd Australian Jamboree” with Robyn Devine, Director Marketing and Communications as our guest speaker.

With the Scouting Fraternity having such a strong and reputable history around our Nation, it’s a privilege that Maryborough has been selected as the accommodating and hosting City of some 12-13000 participants for its next National Jamboree!  Robyn will outline the range of activities planned so far and highlight some of the logistical challenges in pulling an event of this magnitude together.

With the number of visitors expected to descend upon our city, it provides us with a unique opportunity to showcase the best of what we have to offer, but to also capitalise on a number of business, supply and service opportunities to make this event a streamlined, safe, enjoyable and memorable one for all involved.

Don’t miss your chance to get this information first hand – RSVP now!

CLICK HERE to RSVP online.  RSVP’s please by Friday 4th February.

Regards, Stace.

MARYBOROUGH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UPDATE & MAY MINUTES

July 6th, 2010

Dear Members & Supporters

Well, I’m back from our overseas holiday – this time we visited London and then 16 days through central Europe…..magnificent!   Our Executive meeting was held on Tuesday of this week, and its quite unbelievable just how much the Chamber Committee are getting involved with this year.  Your committee is really putting in a lot of time, and energy to keep pushing for a better business climate in this City. I am attaching the Minutes for May for your interest.  I am more than happy to also take any comments, suggestions etc that anyone may have and will forward on to the Committee for discussion.   Regarding meetings:   July is REST MONTH!   The Chamber is putting our monthly breakfast into the ‘spelling paddock’ for the month of July, but we are back again on August 10th with a guest speaker.  Don Keady is CEO of The Australian Institute of Sales, Marketing and Management. He also owns and runs Sydney Harbour Radio and oversees 4 other companies, two of them are National Franchises.  He also acts as a mentor to growing businesses throughout Australia.   September is our AGM and we will be focusing on local issues which the Chamber has been working on and which should interest most of our members.

June 22nd, 2010

USQ Fraser Coast Business Barometer Survey

The following USQ Fraser Coast Business Barometer survey is the result of collaboration between USQ, Fraser Coast Council, and local Chambers of Commerce.  The goal is to try and gauge the level of business confidence in this region, and the issues most concerning local businesses.  It is the chance for you to have your voice heard amongst the various communities that support and regulate businesses.

We would greatly appreciate your time in giving us your insight into the most pressing business issues facing you right now.  With the Federal election on the horizon, it is also a great opportunity for you to provide feed back through the survey your thoughts regarding the issues the political parties should be tackling.

This is the first USQ Fraser Coast Business Barometer survey to be issued, and follow up surveys are planned to be released every six months.  Your assistance with completing it is very much appreciated, but is completely voluntary.  It is intended to be completed by senior business managers/owners within the Fraser Coast region.  The survey should take between five and ten minutes of your time to complete, and is completely anonymous.  Further instructions and information are contained within the survey itself.  If you have already answered this survey, then please ignore and delete this message.
